I don’t get old fashioned snail mail every day so I only check the mailbox about once a week. Especially when I’m not waiting on my next Netflix delivery or on-line shopping purchase. But, last night when Otis and I made our weekly trip to the mailbox we found a wonderful surprise. There was a large box adressed to me from my dear friend and sorority sister K. Inside the box was the most amazing care package for Otis. Treats and toys galore. While Otis has been pretty low activitiy lately, due to all his meds, last night he played until he was exhausted. He fell asleep with his new toys in a pile underneath his snoozin’ head.
Tears rolled down my cheeks when I opened the box. Everything in life can’t always be perfect but I’m so very lucky to have my support system with me for the bumps in the road.
K, I can’t thank you enough for making me feel loved and cared for. You are (as Papa Don would say) top drawer!
Seriously, who wouldn’t send a care package to this adorable puppy? Seeing this absolutely made my day!
